Thursday the 23rd, from 1:00pm-2:00pm at the Fine Arts Library, in the J.B. Jackson Reading Room, which I believe is on the 4th floor. If you’re curious, mildly interested, or gung-ho about joining the EGSA executive committee, I’d love to see you there. Bring a friend if you like. We’ll discuss what to expect from EGSA, what we’ve done in the past, and what you all are interested in doing this year. I encourage you to come and get involved planning the year’s events.
The City of Albuquerque is offering free tax preparation until April 11th. Go to http://www.cabq.gov/seniors/services/income-tax-preparation to see the centers where the preparation is offered and to make an appointment. You do not need to be a senior citizen to take advantage of these services!
We’ve moved pizza nights to twice a month, alternating between Wednesday and Thursday. Keep your eyes peel’d for details on the EGSA facebook page and via email.

Welcome Back Graduate Students!
We need your help to keep EGSA smoothly running through the 2011-2012 school year!
This year we’re (Genesea and Laurel) looking for willing and able people to sit on the EGSA Executive Committee. The E.C. organizes events, annual surveys, sit on faculty committees, etc. If you have ideas for guest speakers, panel presentations, workshops, etc., that will benefit all English graduate students (Rhetoric and Writing, Creative Writing, Literature, and Medieval Studies), please join the E.C.
For those who are interested in knowing more about EGSA, we will have an open-department EGSA meeting before the end of August, so look for the announcement in your UNM email.
As well, to gauge how EGSA can further your academic and social interests, we will send out a brief survey before the end of August.
